Launch of the book 'Making People Pay' in Hyderabad
As part of the city-launches, the book 'Making People Pay: The Economic Sociology of Taxation' by Dr Sibichen K Mathew was launched in Hyderabad, Southern India on 24th April 2010. Shri S Easwaran, President of Andhra Pradesh Tax Bar Association who presided the meeting appreciated the efforts of the author. Shri G Pavan Kumar, Secretary AP Tax Bar Association, Shri Hari Agrawal FCA, Shri Hnanaprakash, and Retired Additional Commissioner of Income Tax were also present.

On 8th April 2010, Dr Sibichen K Mathew addressed the Members of the prestigious Bangalore Club on the topic, 'Life in a Taxing World'. There was a lively interaction after the talk wherein the author was quizzed on the unique ideas brought out in the book 'Making People Pay: The Economic Sociology of Taxation'. Members from the audience appreciated the interesting presentation of a complex subject. Some of them were dissapointed as there were not enough copies of the books for sale at the venue.
